Watch the Beautiful Boom of a Bridge Implosion in Gratuitous Slow-Mo

Controlled demolitions are a beautiful sight, when they don't go hilariously wrong at least. Normally, a simple bridge implosion isn't anything to write home about compared to collapsing skyscrapers and smokestacks, but this footage shot by Eric Leslie and submitted to the GoPro Awards is an exception to the rule.
The demolition of the flood damaged bridge involved 600 pounds of explosives which is enough to make a noteworthy bang, but the best part of this video is the aggressive slow-motion and high frame-rate which makes the blast crawl through time with an unreal sort of smoothness before time catches up and the whole thing crumbles.
Every controlled demolition—especially of a bridge—should be shot as well as this.
